Viz Now Updated Applications Portfolio

  • Viz Arena has been updated to version 5.5 in the Viz Now application portfolio. This update includes the latest enhancements such as video cut detection, enhancing live sports productions and overall user experience.

  • The Graphics Hub instance in Viz Now has been upgraded to the latest versions of VizGraphicHubBundle-x64-3.9.2.60000 and VizGHManager-x64-5.9.2.60000. This update includes preconfigured CodeMeter licensing for automatic connection to the organization's License server, ensuring smoother deployment and providing a centralized hub for managing and sharing graphics assets across multiple users.

  • The Graphics Backend instance in Viz Now has been updated with the latest versions of core applications supporting newsroom and live production workflows. This upgrade includes updates to Media Sequencer (MSE), Viz GHREST, Viz GHImex Agent, Preview Server, Pilot Data Server, Viz Pilot Edge, Template Builder, Viz Artist, and Media Service, ensuring all backend services for real-time graphics, media sequencing, and asset management remain current and stable.

  • NDI Discovery in Viz Now has been upgraded to incorporate the latest versions of NDI Tools 6.1.1.0, NDI SDK 6.1.1.0, and an updated Amazon DCV release. This update enhances IP video workflows, improves remote access capabilities, increasing overall stability and reliability for real-time video collaboration.

  • NDI Bridge in Viz Now has been updated with the latest versions of NDI Tools 6.1.1.0, NDI SDK 6.1.1.0, and Amazon DCV. This upgrade ensures that remote and distributed IP video workflows leverage the newest features, security patches, and performance enhancements, improving reliability for remote video transmission and enhancing the user experience.

  • TriCaster Now has been updated with the latest versions TriCaster Now 8.3 and NDI Tools 6.1.1.0

AWS Marketplace

  • New versions of AWS Marketplace AMIs for TriCaster Vectar, NDI Bridge and NDI Discovery Server have been released. These AMIs include NDI Tools 6.1.1 for improved video-over-IP capabilities, Amazon DCV for remote visualization, updated NVIDIA drivers for optimized GPU performance, and the latest Windows updates for enhanced security and stability.

Fixed Issues

  • TriCaster Now Deployments: Users will experience smoother updates and a better deployment experience. Also improved shared necessary components, preventing upgrade failures.

  • License Server Integration: Spaces can connect reliably to the License server, ensuring smoother license validation.

  • DNS and Accessibility: Enhanced DNS stability ensures consistent access to deployed applications. By improving hostnames settings, ensured system consistency provides a more reliable and accessible experience.

  • General Fixes: Improved the redeploy process of draft spaces and the onboarding process for new users. Instance management for users is also simplified.

Main Features

  • It is now possible to specify AWS Region and Availability zone before deploying a new space.

  • For Viz Now LaunchPad it is optional to use a .now file.

Improvements

  • It is now possible to add more than one type of each App for some templates.

Bug Fixes

  • When a space is destroyed the route tables should now always also be deleted.

  • It is now possible to delete the user that deployed the core space.
